Dear fellow McMaster students: take this opportunity of a lifetime and experience the priceless journey of studying abroad. If exchange is something that you truly want to do, do not let anything stop you as it is one of the greatest life experiences that will allow you to grow in unspeakable ways.

In the past four months I travelled to over 10 different cities around Europe, made friendships that will last a lifetime from all over the world, and fallen in love with the German culture. I got to check off major things off my bucket list such as partying at Oktoberfest and watching a real live Bayern Munich game at Allianz Stadium. Exchange really pushes you to get out of your comfort zone and it allows you to discover who you are and create memories that you will cherish forever.

Completing an exchange was the best part of my undergrad. Moving to a school with only 1300 students was such an amazing change as my relationships with peo
083ple quickly grew to strong friendships. I learned so much about the German culture along with other cultures from the various exchange students that studied at WHU. This experience had made me more independent and openminded, and I never had so much fun in my life. I am so glad that I took this once in a lifetime opportunity to get an education abroad, and if I could I’d go back in a heartbeat.
